Australian Dairy Farmers Limited (ADF) welcomed the commencement of its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adrian Scott.
Mr Scott brings a strong background of rural and regional policy experience to ADF having previously worked with a number of organizations including: Western Australian Dairy Industry Authority, South Australian Dairyfarmers Association, Victorian Department of Primary Industries and the Victorian Department of Planning and Community Development. He has postgraduate qualifications in economics and land-use planning.
“The ADF Board and staff are pleased to have Adrian on Board and we look forward to a strong future with him as our CEO,” said ADF President Wes Judd. He said Adrian’s strong professional background in Australian rural and regional development, his extensive previous experience with the Australian dairy industry and his affinity for regional Australia will stand him in good stead for the role.
Mr Judd said that ADF now had a full complement of experienced senior managers to help lead the industry. Natalie Collard has also recently been appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Policy Director at ADF. Mr Judd stated that Natalie had provided outstanding support to the ADF Board and Executive while a new CEO had been recruited.
“I am looking forward to representing the interests of Australian dairy farmers and building on the proud record of achievements of the ADF. Also important to me will be ensuring that the Australian Dairy Industry Council retains its credibility as the peak national voice of the dairy industry in Australia”, Mr Scott said.
“ADF has a professional team of staff and elected officials who will continue to work constructively with government’s and related industry bodies to help ensure the long term economic sustainability and survival of Australia’s dairy industry”, he said.
