2015 ADIC Dairy Dinner_Web Text
The Australian Dairy Industry Council (ADIC) warmly invites dairy farmers and industry representatives to join us for dinner to recognise and celebrate innovation across the dairy value chain.
With the theme, “Australian Dairy: Thinking beyond the box”, this dairy dinner will focus on our industry’s investment in world leading innovation to grow profitability and sustainability. Australian dairy has a remarkable story to share and this dinner provides a rare opportunity for leaders of the dairy industry and Parliament to come together and celebrate the strength and unity of Australia’s third largest agricultural sector.
Ahead of the Dairy Dinner, Holstein and Jersey dairy cows are set to graze the lawn of Parliament House’s Federation Mall to celebrate exciting innovation and advances across the dairy value chain.
The ADIC dinner centers on the importance of pushing boundaries to ensure the Australian dairy industry’s current and future productivity and profitability. The event will also highlight opportunities for industry and government to collaborate in investing and promoting innovative research and development projects.
Federal parliamentary representatives and advisors will be present on the Federation Mall lawn, alongside ADIC Chair, Noel Campbell and ADIC Deputy Chair, Robert Poole who will be available for comment.
Farm owners, Jamie Stewart and Michael Rood will make the short trip from NSW with their dairy cows and calves for the event. The farmers will ensure the cows remain happy, healthy and well fed throughout their expedition.
Complimentary dairy treats will also be on offer in celebration of our industry’s world class dairy products.
