NSW Farmers Association (NSWFA)

The New South Wales Farmers Association (NSWFA) is a state-based policy and advocacy body representing NSW commodities across cropping, horticulture and livestock. The Dairy Committee of NSWFA is a State Member of ADF. With an estimated 710 registered dairy farms region – NSW is Australia’s second largest dairying state and the biggest supplier of fresh drinking milk in the country.

NSWFA’s 2015-16 highlights  

  • Actively engaged on a national and state level representing the farmers to end $1 per litre supermarket milk.
  • Finalised the National Bovine Johne's Disease Strategic Plan Review in early 2016.
  • Lobbied and was able to secure a commitment from state government to develop a cattle underpass scheme.
